Curent Event #2- Film Award
A french film called "Les Intouchables" won the prize for the best European film at the Goya awards in Spain.The movie was directed by Oliver Nakache and Eric Toledano. The film was recognized as the best-selling film ever in overseas markets. Les Intouchables is a film about the relationship between a quadriplegic millionaire and a caretaker he hires from a poor Parisian suburb. As the second biggest box-office in france and the biggest selling French film overseas of all time, the next great dream for this film is to be nominated in the US oscars, in the foreign language category.

French-led troops in Mali now control the ancient city of Timbuktu, in the city of Gao. French President Francois Hollande said,
"We are winning in Mali."
Mali now has 2,150 soldiers on their soil and 1,000 more soldiers coming from other countries who support this operation. The US is trying to aid Mali in this conflict with aerial refueling missions, on top of everything else they are doing for the situation. Many other countries, especially in Europe and English speaking West African countries, are coming to Mali's aid; furthermore, the European union said it will contribute $67 million to support the "African -led International Support Mission" to Mali.
